France begins its first war crimes trial of Syrian officials
AFP report on the start of the French criminal trial against high ranking Syrian officials for the detention, enforced disappearance and killing of Patrick and Mazeen Dabbagh:
“French investigators and the Commission for International Justice and Accountability collected accounts from dozens of witnesses of torture and mistreatment at Mezzeh Prison, including the use of electric shocks and sexual violence.”
